Celebrating 50 years in broadcasting

Anneka’s 50 years in broadcasting have taken her from her training course at the BBC, working for the World Service, to hosting some of Britain’s best-loved television and radio programmes, with plenty of unexpected adventures along the way. Across five decades, she has broken the mould of women on television, reached out to people across the globe, and fifty years later remains a familiar and much-loved presence on both television and radio.  Hers has been a truly ground-breaking career.
